Admissions and Advising

Alternate Pathway MN for RNs with BA/BS

The Alternate Pathway to MN Program is designed for RNs with a BA/BS in another field. RNs interested in the Psych Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program must have 6 months of full-time employment as an RN before being considered for this program. RNs interested in the FNP and Community Based Population Focused MN programs are reviewed on an individual basis when making application to this program.

RNs consult with RNB Advisors for transcript review and individualized student planning to complete courses pre-requisite to the RN to BSN program. In addition, RNs complete two WSU ICN courses with a B or higher grade. The courses are taught online or in the AMS classrooms across the state:

RNB advisors assist RNs with the application process to the Alternate Pathway program.
