The American Academy of Nursing was established in 1973 under the aegis of the American Nurses Association. The American Academy of Nursing is comprised of 1,200 nursing leaders in education, management, practice and research. Resources and mechanisms available for purposeful networking include: Nursing Outlook magazine, Expert Panels, Senior Scholar in Residence Programs, and the facilitation of appointments to policy positions. Fellowship is awarded by invitation as recognition of outstanding accomplishments within the nursing profession and to health care. |
