the DESIGN
The Riverpoint Campus Nursing Building
will feature a smaller footprint and more
vertical massing consistent with the
campus master plan’s ideas. It will
be a sustainable design with the use of
natural day lighting, low energy
consumption, and environmentally
appropriate materials. The general
orientation of the new building will take
into account sun angles providing shading
devices where needed to reduce cooling
loads and operational costs.
Design was anticipated in December 2006,
and construction began soon after. Graham
Construction, Spokane, WA, is the GC/CM
for the project. LMN Architects of
Seattle and Integrus Architecture,
Spokane, are the consultants.
