Choose American FactFinder on the left side bar. In FactFinder, use the Getting Detailed Data choices in the center of the screen: Choose from "Decennial Census" > "get data" Census 2000 Summary File 1 (SF 1) 100-Percent Data or Census 2000 Summary File 3 (SF 3) - Sample Data On the right side of Census 2000 Summary File 1 (SF 1) or File 3 (SF 3) you'll see a list of table types in blue underline. Choose either "Detailed tables" or "Quick tables" For tract-level information: At "Select a geographic type", use the drop-down arrow button to choose "Census tract". The screen will change, leading you through State, County, and finally offer the chance to choose from among a list of census tracts. Add all those you are interested in, and choose "Show table". You may save or print the results. For numerical tables, choose among the Data Sets listed. Each one takes you to a page listing all the sets. Select from them depending on what you need: Poverty info is in SF-3. This is the one most people need most frequently. Detailed population and race breakdown is in SF-1 Follow the prompts for one subject, or all tables. Try variations of the screens to find the information you want.
