2008 Inland Northwest Health Sciences Research
Symposium
Friday, April 25, 2008
The Inland Northwest Health Science Research Symposium Planning Committee invites you to submit an abstract of research to be considered for presentation at the April 25, 2008 research symposium. Abstracts of completed research with a health science, health practice, and/or health education foci are sought.
Six abstracts will be accepted for a podium presentation (strict 15 minutes presentation and 5 minutes q&a) summarizing a completed research study on Friday morning, April 25, 2008. A selected presenter will be invited to repeat their presentation during the general meeting in the afternoon as the Best in Conference Scholar presentation. A $1000 research award will be presented to the Best in Conference Scholar presentation.
Abstract Submission Information
Submission Deadline: Tuesday, March 18, 2008.
Submission Format: All abstracts,
not to exceed one page, should be submitted via email
attachment to Yvonne Smith at ytsmith@wsu.edu. Please
submit via e-mail a Word file (*.doc) with 1 inch margins
and no less than 11 point font limited to one graphic
(figure, table, or image).
- Please include one abstract with investigator names, credentials, institutional affiliations, and contact information for the designated investigator who will be presenting.
- Please include a second abstract without authors or institutional affiliations.
- Please include the following in the abstract:

- Title
- Purpose/Aims
- Rationale/Background/Conceptual Basis
- Methods
- Results
- Significance of findings/Implications
Abstract Selection and Notification:
A symposium task force will blindly review the abstracts. Confirmation of presentation acceptance will be sent electronically by March 24, 2008.
